MCAS

The MCAS Long Write composition is tomorrow!  The ELA/Reading MCAS test is Thursday!
Please make sure your child(ren) gets a good night's sleep every night this week!  A few other helpful suggestions are:  eat a good, hearty breakfast, dress in comfy clothes and bring a snack!

Gone for so long...

Hello!  I feel like it has been forever since I've posted.  We are back from February vacation and I have to tell you how hard the students are working in preparation of the upcoming MCAS ELA tests!

***The date of the LONG WRITE COMPOSITION is Tuesday, March 18, 2014.***

 

Grade Four will also be taking the Reading portion of the test on Thursday, March 20th, and Monday, March 24th. 

All of this preparation and diligent work is a little stressful at times, so to lighten our moods, we may take time out for a little comic relief!

 

 

We just started reading the story, Shiloh, by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor.  So far, everyone seems engaged and really interested in the book.   Some great discussions are being held!  Ask your child to give you a brief summary of the story so far!  It's a great book!

 

 

Campfire just finished their program, "Caution Without Fear" with us.  This six week program was a wonderful program dealing with friendship and getting along with others.  The students got a lot out of it.  We were sad to see Debbie, the instructor leave today!
